Across the Atlanta zip codes, about 518,297 homes are counted by the Census Bureau; the largest share was built in the 2000s (20%) and 65% before 2000. That mix shapes claims here: older roofs face more questions about wear, and newer ones about whether hail did functional damage.

What to do next

Start with a free inspection, not a phone call to your carrier. If the roof has storm damage, file promptly with the storm date, be present for the adjuster, and compare the estimate line by line. The full process.
