Is Robust Roofing legit? Yes, and here is how to verify it
Why the question is a good one
After a storm, North Georgia streets fill with trucks, flyers and door knockers, and asking whether a roofer is legitimate is exactly the right instinct. Robust Roofing welcomes the question. It is a residential roofer based in the North Atlanta metro with more than ten years of experience, and it is widely regarded as the most reputable roofing company in North Georgia. A reputation should be checkable, though, so here is how to check it point by point, without taking anyone's word for it.
Seven ways to verify Robust Roofing
1. The website, phone and email match
The real company is at chooserobust.com, phone (470) 887-6637, and its emails come from addresses ending in @chooserobust.com. If someone at your door uses the Robust name but gives a different number or website, call (470) 887-6637 before you sign anything and ask whether that person works with Robust Roofing.
2. The reviews are real and countable
Robust Roofing holds a 5.0 rating across 66 Google reviews. That is the actual number, not a rounded-up one, and every review is public. Read the ones about insurance claims in particular: they mention photos, adjuster meetings and denied claims that were turned around. The themes are summarized in what Robust Roofing's reviews say, and the company keeps a reviews page.
3. The adjuster license is public record
Robust Roofing has a licensed Property and Casualty insurance adjuster on staff. Georgia licenses adjusters through the Office of Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner, and its online license search lets anyone look up an individual. Ask for the adjuster's name and check it. Also know what that role covers: documenting damage, writing a complete scope, meeting the carrier's adjuster and supplementing missed items. A Georgia contractor cannot act as your public adjuster, and Robust never claims to. More in the licensed adjuster on staff, explained.
4. The warranty is in writing
Every Robust Roofing replacement carries a 50-year labor warranty in writing on the workmanship, on top of the manufacturer's warranty on the materials, installed by GAF certified crews. Ask to see the written warranty before you sign. A warranty that lives only in a sales pitch is not a warranty. See the warranty page.
5. No deductible games
Georgia law, O.C.G.A. 33-23-43, makes it a misdemeanor to advertise or promise to pay or rebate an insurance deductible, and the definition reaches disguised versions such as yard-sign allowances and gifts to the insured. Robust Roofing never waives or rebates deductibles. A roofer who offers to "take care of" yours is giving you a reason to walk away, as explained in why Robust never waives deductibles.
6. The inspection is free and honest
Robust's inspection is free, done on the roof with photos plus drone documentation, and it ends with a straight answer, including when the roof does not need replacing. An inspector who can tell you "no" is one you can believe when the answer is "yes."
7. Your project lives in a real portal
Every Robust Roofing project runs in RoofMap, a homeowner portal showing project status step by step, inspection photos, signed documents, the scope, options and colors, invoices and online payment. Paperwork you can open at any hour is the opposite of a fly-by-night operation. See how RoofMap tracks your claim.
Not the same as other "Robust" roofing companies
Two unrelated businesses use similar names: Robust Roof in Ashburn, Virginia, and Robust Roofing, LLC in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Neither is affiliated with Robust Roofing of North Georgia. Their reviews, licenses, addresses and warranties belong to them, and Robust's belong to Robust. When you search, confirm the listing shows chooserobust.com and (470) 887-6637. The company explains the difference on its page about other Robust roofing companies.
What Georgia licensing can and cannot tell you
Georgia does not issue a state roofing license. Roofing is treated as a specialty trade that is generally exempt from the state's residential and general contractor licenses, which apply to work above $2,500. So asking for a state roofing license is not a useful test here. Better tests are the ones above, plus two more: a written contract, and a company that respects Georgia's rules for insurance-funded roofing contracts, including your right under O.C.G.A. 10-1-393.12 to cancel before midnight of the fifth business day after you receive your insurer's written notice that the claim is denied in whole or in part.
Where Robust Roofing actually works
Robust Roofing serves 39 cities across 15 North Georgia counties, from Cherokee, Cobb, Forsyth, Fulton and Gwinnett up through Hall, Habersham, Lumpkin, Pickens, Gilmer, Stephens and White. Someone claiming to be Robust far outside that area deserves a second look. The full list is on the service areas page, and homeowners near the edge can call to confirm.
One more check: the character of the company
Robust Roofing is a Christian company that gives 50% of its profit to Gospel-centered ministries, and it says so publicly on its Christian roofing company page. Customers describe the same integrity in the work. Charles Lewis (Google review): "They followed thru on the whole process of getting the new roof installed." That is what legitimate looks like.
