How do you follow your roof claim in Robust Roofing's RoofMap portal?
One place for a process that usually lives in ten
A roof insurance claim produces more paper than most homeowners expect. There are inspection photos, the carrier's estimate, your roofer's scope, a signed agreement, color choices, supplement requests, an invoice, and often a second check for recoverable depreciation. The Georgia Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire tells homeowners to keep copies of all correspondence and to write down their phone and in-person contacts. That is good advice, and it is hard to follow when documents arrive by text, email and mail over several weeks.
Robust Roofing answered that problem with RoofMap, its homeowner portal. Instead of scrolling through a phone for the photo the adjuster asked about, you open the portal and it is there, next to the scope and the paperwork you signed. It is a small example of why so many North Georgia homeowners call Robust Roofing the most reputable roofer in the region: the company does not just build a good roof, it makes the whole claim easy to follow.
What you can see in RoofMap
| Portal section | What it shows | Why it helps during a claim |
|---|---|---|
| Project status | Where the job stands, step by step | You know whether the next move belongs to you, to Robust or to the insurance company |
| Inspection photos | Pictures taken on your roof and by drone | You can show your carrier, your family or your HOA exactly what was found |
| Scope | The work Robust has written up for your roof | You can compare it with the carrier's estimate line by line |
| Signed documents | Agreements and forms you have signed | No hunting for the copy you signed weeks ago |
| Options and colors | Shingle colors and the upgrades on offer | You decide at home, on your schedule, with the choices in front of you |
| Invoices and payment | What is owed and a way to pay online | Your deductible and any upgrade are shown plainly, and you can pay without mailing a check |
How a claim moves through the portal
- Free inspection. Robust inspects on the roof and by drone, and the photos go into RoofMap, so you see what the inspector saw. That includes the times the honest answer is that your roof does not need replacing. Here is what the free inspection includes.
- You open the claim. You are the policyholder, so you report the loss to your carrier and receive a claim number. With the photos and the likely storm date already in the portal, that call is short and specific. Our guide on how to file a roof insurance claim covers what to say.
- The adjuster visit. Robust's licensed Property and Casualty adjuster meets the carrier's adjuster at the house and walks the roof with the documentation in hand. See how Robust handles the adjuster meeting.
- Estimate versus scope. When the carrier's estimate arrives, it is checked against Robust's complete scope. Items the estimate missed are supplemented with photos and line-item support, explained in Robust Roofing supplements.
- Your choices. You pick a shingle color and any upgrades, such as GAF Timberline UHDZ or impact-resistant Class 4 shingles, from the options in the portal.
- Build day. On most average-size roofs the full replacement is finished in one day, because Robust brings a large crew and no step has to be rushed. The status moves forward as the work does.
- Closing out. The invoice appears in RoofMap. If your policy held back recoverable depreciation, completion paperwork is what carriers generally ask for before releasing it. See recoverable depreciation with Robust.
What the portal does not change
RoofMap keeps you informed. It does not take the claim away from you. You remain the policyholder, your carrier still talks to you about coverage, and payment decisions come from your policy. Georgia's roofing statute, O.C.G.A. 10-1-393.12, limits what a roofing contractor may do on a homeowner's behalf with an insurer, and it lets a homeowner cancel an insurance-funded roofing contract before midnight of the fifth business day after receiving the insurer's written notice that the claim is denied in whole or in part. A good portal works inside those rules. Robust documents, scopes and supplements, and you see every piece of it.
Money, shown plainly
After an approved claim, a homeowner's cost with Robust Roofing is normally the deductible. Robust never waives or rebates a deductible, because Georgia law prohibits it under O.C.G.A. 33-23-43, so the number on your invoice is the real one. If you choose an upgrade your policy does not pay for, you see it alongside your options instead of discovering it later. For smaller balances, RoofMap offers a pay-over-time option at checkout, and you can always pay online in full. If your insurance check also names your mortgage company, read how Robust handles mortgage company checks.
Why homeowners value it
Claims feel stressful mostly because they feel invisible. You file, you wait, and you are never sure who has the ball. A shared record changes that. Homeowners reviewing Robust Roofing on Google often mention that the photos made the damage obvious and that the process was explained clearly. Christian G. put it this way in his Google review: "I'm picky. I walked the property after they left and tried to find something wrong. Couldn't. Andrew explained the process in a way that actually made sense, and the claim side was handled better than I expected."
That kind of experience is why Robust Roofing holds a 5.0 rating across 66 Google reviews, which you can read on the Robust Roofing reviews page. The portal is especially useful for owners who cannot be at the house every day, such as landlords, people who travel for work, and family members helping a parent through a claim. Our page on claims for landlords covers that case.
